Dr Zambelli qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1998 from Onderstepoort and as a specialist cum laude (with distinction) in 2008. He has worked in general practice in South Africa and the UK (1998 - 2003) and as a lecturer at Onderstepoort (2003 - 2006).
He has 2 dogs (Titus, the practice mascot and Tiger, a Great Dane).
For recreation, Dr Z reads (a lot!), enjoys scuba diving, DIY around the house and spending time with friends.

She has Honours Degree in Veterinary Internal Medicine which she obtained from University of Pretoria in 2014.
Arina is currently advancing her internal medicine knowledge in European Veterinary School via “Improve International” Postgraduate Veterinary Programme in UK to ensure our patients are getting the best veterinary care.
She runs our hospital high care medicine cases and helps Dr Zambelli in diagnostics and management of specialist referrals from KZN and all over the country.

Dr Evans qualified from Onderstepoort in 1999 and has been a general practitioner in the upper highway area since that time.
In her spare time she mountain bikes and spends time with her family and her dog Maggie.

Dr Gerhard Steenkamp

Dr Steenkamp qualified as a veterinarian from Onderstepoort in 1994. He then pursued his special interest in dentistry and maxillofacial surgery in the UK, where he attended the inaugural course in Veterinary Dentistry at the European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies.
On his return to South Africa in 1998, Gerhard joined the Veterinary faculty at Onderstepoort and also consulted and treated referral cases from the Johannesburg Animal Eye Hospital and the Cape Animal Medical Centre.

Kenneth graduated with a BVSc from The University of Pretoria in 1995. After graduating he joined small animal practice in Johannesburg for 2 years before returning to the University of Pretoria.
In 2000 he obtained a MMedVet (Anaes) and held the position of senior lecturer in anaesthesiology at the university. In 2004 he left the university to re-join private practice before starting his own referral practice in anaesthesiology, pain management and critical care.
In his spare time he is a runner having completed the Comrades marathon a few times and doing numerous trail runs.

Jose is originally from the south of Madrid, in Spain.Jose has a Pyrenean Mountain dog called Akiles.
Apart from performing surgeries on cats and dogs, Jose is also involved in some projects treating dental or beak conditions of wild animals in captivity in Africa and other parts of the world.
Jose is currently undertaking a 6 year residency program to become a recognized specialist in veterinary dentistry.
